Leap years have 366 days instead of 365 and occur every four years. An extra, or intercalary, the day is added to the end of February. Leap years were created by Julius Caeser in 45 BC, to adjust the annual calendar with the Earth’s translation and other seasonal events. This year, 2020, is a leap year. The intercalary day, February 29, is referred to as leap day.
The leap day is believed to have great spiritual significance. From a numerological perspective, 29, creates a vibrational impact or an energy portal that allows us to make a leap in our lives, to move forward. When we sum 29, 2 plus 9, it becomes 11, which is a master number, since it contains its own vibrational essence, and, because of it, shouldn’t be broken down to 1+1. The number 11 indicates spiritual enlightenment and awakening. Under this energy, we grow, feel inspired, creative, enthusiastic and optimistic.
To take advantage of the vibrational energy of the leap year, live the days around the intercalary day with mindfulness. You shall soon notice synchronicities and signs that shall provide clues about you, your soul purpose, and your way forward.
Meditating four days before February 29 will make you feel grounded to mother earth. Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and visualize green roots coming out of your feet toward the earth. Allow yourself to receive this nourishing, this unconditional love for a few minutes and then open your eyes. You may also practice Root Chakra meditation. You may also, carry with you a red crystal, for instance, red jasper, bloodstone, carnelian or lay down with it below your belly while setting an intention.
My dear readers, I wish that you make the best use of the energy of a leap day, by bringing awareness to something that you wish to leap forward within your life. Reflect where you would like to create more time and energy for something and send your intentions out into the Universe and watch the Universe bring you the desired outcome!
“But this day holds another secret—it contains one of those truly rare moments of delightful transience and light uncertainty that only exist on the razor edge of things, along a buzzing plane of quantum probability…
A day of unlocked potential.”
