Life Lessons Via Tarot Part IV

by | Jul 17, 2024

Hello, my dear readers! I’m Maanya Kohli, founder of Lady of Tarot, and your guide on this mystical journey through the Tarot. Last week, we delved into the life lessons up to the Hanged Man card. This week, let’s explore the profound insights from the Major Arcana cards from Death to the Tower. These cards may seem daunting, but they hold the keys to transformation, renewal, and resilience.

The Death card often evokes fear, but it symbolizes transformation and new beginnings. Just as the phoenix rises from its ashes, this card urges us to let go of the old to make way for the new. I once read for a client who felt stuck in a dead-end job. The Death card appeared, prompting her to pursue a passion she had long neglected. She left her job, retrained, and now thrives in a career she loves. Temperance teaches us the value of moderation and harmony. It’s about blending different aspects of our lives into a cohesive whole. Think of it as mixing the perfect cocktail—each ingredient must be balanced for the drink to taste just right. In our fast-paced lives, Temperance reminds us to find time for work, rest, and play. During a particularly hectic period, I pulled this card and realized I needed to slow down and realign my priorities. The results were transformative.
The Devil represents the chains that bind us—addictions, negative thoughts, or unhealthy relationships. Recognizing these chains is the first step to breaking free. A friend once confided in me about feeling trapped in a toxic relationship. The Devil card appeared in her reading, encouraging her to confront and ultimately free herself from this toxic situation. It was challenging, but it led to her regaining her independence and self-worth.
The Tower card signifies sudden upheaval and revelation. While it can be unsettling, it also clears the way for new structures to be built. I recall a time when my client faced an unexpected job loss. The Tower card surfaced, mirroring his sense of chaos. However, this disruption led him to start a new business and today, he is a famous entrepreneur. When your world feels like it’s falling apart, remember that it might be paving the way for something even greater.

My dear readers, these cards, from Death to the Tower, teach us that life’s challenges are often the catalysts for profound personal growth. By embracing transformation, seeking balance, breaking free from limitations, and welcoming change, we can navigate life’s journey with grace and resilience. Stay tuned for next week’s exploration of the Star, the Moon, and the Sun. Until then, let the wisdom of the Tarot guide you towards your highest potential.

“Tarot cards illuminate the karmic lessons woven into our life’s journey, guiding us to understand the past, embrace the present, and transform our future with wisdom and compassion.” Maanya Kohli
